Prof. Dr. Ad Kil
Professor Ad Kil, PhD, holds the esteemed position of Vice President of Applied Research at Wittenborg, where he spearheads research initiatives. With a distinguished career, he serves as a Full Professor emeritus of Professional Research Didactics and oversees Executive PhD Programmes at Nyenrode Business University, the Netherlands, and Kingston University Business School, London. Additionally, he holds the title of Professor of Research at the Nordic International Management Institute in Chendu, China. Professor Kil's expertise extends across borders; he previously served as a HRD professor at Nottingham Law School, UK, and as the director of the Master of Conflict Management program at Maastricht University Law School. His contributions to legal education are notable, having served as a senior lecturer at the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA) where he developed the Advocacy Skills Programme, enhancing legal training and professional development. His leadership roles reflect his deep engagement with academia and his dedication to fostering excellence in research and professional development initiatives.
Dr. Rauf Abdul
Senior Lecturer / Head School of Business. Furthermore, Rauf is involved in accreditations, teaching, and research. He holds a PhD in Human Resource Management (HRM), an MBA, and an MSc in Business. His research activities focus on HRM and value creation in the digital economy (e.g. HRM and online labor platforms/crowdsourcing, HRM shared services, and the use of algorithms/AI in HRM). His main focus in research is on issues related to HRM. Currently, he is interested in researching HR competencies for future industries such as competency profiles required for smart industry (industry 4.0). He loves teaching and supervising graduate and postgraduate students for their graduation assignments / final projects. He has developed and implemented various HR strategies and procedures for the HR function of the university. He has presented research papers at several international conferences. He is conversant with the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education system and is also part of different assessment panels for educational programmes and institutional accreditation assessments.
Dr. Dadi Chen
PhD, is an Associate Professor of Applied Sciences and the Deputy Head of School of Business at Wittenborg. He holds a doctoral degree in Education from Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a ter's degree in foreign Linguistics & Applied Linguistics from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China.
He is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator, researcher, and programme coordinator with a wealth of experience in intercultural communication, educational management, and curriculum design. His current research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including continuous assessment in international entrepreneurial education, AI in curriculum design, and intercultural communication in the management of higher education.
Dr. Vanessa de Oliveira Menezes
Bachelor in Tourism from UNIOESTE, Brazil with a specialization in Human Resources Management at UFPR. Master's degree in Tourism and Hotels Management at UEX, Spain, Ph.D. in Business Management at UP, Brazil, and post-doctorate research at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
With experience in the Tourism and Hotel Industry, it is specialized in the following subjects: tourism theory, tourism and hospitality management, tourism and hospitality innovation, human resources in tourism and hotels, and events. Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Tourism - Studies and Research in Tourism and a Member of the Reviewers’ Committee for the International Journal of Academic Research in Management.
Dr. Fahad Shakeel
Assistant Professor at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences. He completed his PhD from Radboud University, the Netherlands, in 2021. His research focus is on leadership, ethics, and sustainability. He teaches multiple modules associated with his research interests and domain. Fahad also supervises bachelor and master's thesis and has an interest in qualitative research methods. He frequently volunteers as a reviewer for different academic journals. At Wittenborg, he helps organize project week for students.
Fahad also provides assistance to manageement as deputy head of the business school at the Apeldoorn campus. In this capacity, he is part of the Education Board and Graduation and Examination Board (GEB). At Wittenborg University he also works as a teaching quality coordinator; a capacity in which he gives orientation to new academic staff members besides overseeing teaching quality aspects.
Dr. Cha-Hsuan Liu
is a passionate academic professional with extensive expertise in healthcare, education, social policy, management, and innovation. She's currently an Associate Professor at Wittenborg University of Applied Science in the Netherlands and a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Asian Studies at Leiden University. She is also a member of the Innovation Attaché Network at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs. Her doctorate and previous teaching at Utrecht University emphasize Healthcare for Diversity, reflecting her dedication to crafting solutions for global challenges of health and well-being equality, and equity with expansive perspectives. She is a well-sought-after teacher who devotes her energy to students full-heartily. While her work has been broadly published and recognized in academic and public circles, she gives public speeches and training on occasions on a global level. Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq
is an esteemed business and finance expert, boasts over 16 years of international experience and currently serves as an Associate Professor of business administration specializing in finance and accounting at Wittenborg University. He also teaches at institutions like LSI Business School Cambodia and Coburg University's international MBA program in Germany. Dr. Ashfaq's research areas span FinTech, Islamic finance, sustainable finance, and banking. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the University of Tübingen, Germany, focusing on retail consumers' attitudes towards Islamic banking and finance, as well as an MBA from Coburg University. Noteworthy accolades include the Young Scholars Research Award from Bilkent University, Turkey, and the LGFW scholarship for his Ph.D. at the University of Tübingen, Germany. Prior to academia, Dr. Ashfaq held various management positions at multinational companies such as Pfizer and Amanah IIFE across different countries. As an accomplished interdisciplinary researcher, Dr. Ashfaq has authored numerous scientific journal articles, book chapters, and four books. Recently, he received the Amity Global Academic Excellence Award from Amity University India, recognizing his exemplary contributions to education.
